Gospel means GOOD NEWS!!!  What is the good news?  Let me first tell you about the bad news so the good news will be even better.

Have you ever stolen anything?

Have you ever lied?

Where there times you didn’t put God first in your life?

Have you ever hated anyone?

If you said yes to even one of those questions (which if you are honest with yourself then you had not just one yes but four), then before a holy and just God, that sin will be punished.  That, indeed, is bad news.

The good news: God became flesh and dwelt amongst us, died on the cross to take the punishment for your sins, and rose from the dead.  The punishment we deserved was on that cross.  If we humble ourselves before the Lord, He will give us His grace (see James 4:6-10).  We don’t deserve eternal life, can’t work for it, and can’t buy it.  It is freely given to us.  Hopefully, you will be like the people in the book of Acts and see your need for a Savior from sin and wonder, “What must I do to be saved?” The answer given was REPENT and BELIEVE in the LORD JESUS (see Acts 2:38, Acts 16:31, Romans 10:9-11 and 1 Corinthians 15:1-9).

Humble yourself today before the Lord.

Soli Deo Gloria! For the Glory of God Alone!

  1. Thank you for mentioning the real Gospel as the Apostle Paul states it in 1 Cor. 15. It is becoming more and more difficult to find a church that actually teaches this. Those who don’t, chalk the gospel up to doing good things to show unto men how good they can be.
